Peterborough Climate Change Rally

September 22, 2013 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm EDT

This rally is called to bring attention to Canadian political leaders that there are  many people in Peterborough who care deeply about the damage that humans have done and continue to do to our climate by burning fossil fuels and to provide a voice to concerned citizens.

The event starts at 11:00 with entertainers, speakers, and activities. At noon we will attempt to set the Guinness World Record for a gathering of people wearing purple. Purple headbands will be provided if you need. Stay after the rally for the Purple Onion Festival where you can visit booths, celebrate local food, participate in the introduction of the Kawartha Looney, our very own local currency, and learn other ways you can make a difference.

Bring your grandparents and grandchildren to show that many generations are committed to making it better. Bring 2 friends and we will have the largest demonstration in Peterborough’s history.

Visit the event on our Facebook Page and invite your Facebook friends.
