Care Hope Vote

Peterborough’s Public Health Unit has decided to do something new this election. Rather than host a traditional all candidate debate they have created a campaign to encourage people who might not otherwise vote to vote this year.

They partnered with local organizations who advocate for change in the social justice areas of Housing, Health, Environment, Immigration, and Income. These groups have collaborated in creating information in each area reminding us why we should CARE about each area. They have highlighted policy changes from the past that should give us HOPE that change is possible. And, taken together this should give us all motivation to VOTE in the October 21 federal election.

I urge you to visit the CARE HOPE VOTE web site for more information and to read this editorial in the Peterborough Examiner.
