About 16 people gathered on a Zoom call on Thursday night and called our councillors to encourage them to support Peterborough’s Climate Change Action Plan when it comes before council. We made our calls and regrouped to discuss the results. The overall spirit was that we all had fun and enjoyed the common spirit of action.
While the Phone Zap took place on Thursday night, many people still intended to call their councillors and the mayor over the next few days.

Why are we supporting this plan? Peterborough is on track to fall short of our GHG emissions goal. The CCAP 2.0 presents plans to address this shortfall and contains concrete actions to improve local public health outcomes, save the Peterborough Community nearly a billion dollars, and also to achieve significant reductions by 2050.
