About 95 people turned out (and got slightly wet in the brief rainfall at the beginning). The signs were prolific and even had some dark humour. There was a lot of horn honking and thumbs up from the drivers on Chemong. Having demonstrated at that location a number of times, I can tell you that this support was unusual. Either people actually know about Bill 5 or they dislike Dave Smith and will support any demo in front of his office.

There is a Stop Bill 5 petition in place at Take Cover Books, 59 Hunter St. E. This is a “hard copy” with real signatures on it, often thought to be more impactful than online petitions.
