4RG Monthly Meets – Electric Vehicles
October 4 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT
Ground transportation accounts for about 25% of greenhouse gas emissions in Canada. So, fuelled by green energy, a transition to electric vehicles of all types will greatly help to lower GHG emissions in Canada (and around the world). This transition can take place within 15 years, or sooner with more incentives and conviction.
Robert Lockhart, a local expert on electric cars, will explain what the modern electric vehicle is all about, will de-mystify charging electric vehicles, and tell us what the auto industry is doing, and what governments are doing. He will also talk about barriers to adoption and how to break them down, and the momentum that is building.
As always there will be lots of time for your questions and discussion.
